Bannockburn Garden Club turns 75

As Bannockburn celebrated its 75th anniversary in grand style Saturday night at the Exmoor Country Club, the stunning red rose centerpieces on each table marked the behind-the-scenes efforts of another group in the village with the same birthday.

The centerpieces were arranged by Barbara Reddy and Patty Rothing, both members of the Bannockburn Garden Club.

The club was founded on Aug. 8, 1929 with 14 charter members. The first meetings were held in the Bannockburn Club House, which later became a private home.
