"You are unsung heroes in our community, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart."
Chris Hensley, former member of the Valley View School Board, to board members at the Jan. 24 meeting. Hensley resigned from the board in December because he moved out of the district. He served on the board for almost two years.
He attended the meeting to explain the proposed attendance boundaries for Romeoville elementary and middle schools. He was still active with the district as co-chairman of the future growth committee.
