Three men admitted Thursday to burning a cross before the Evansville Bosse-Heritage Hills basketball game, an incident described by the town marshal as a prank "that got out of hand." No charges were pending against the unidentified men, described as being between the ages of 19 and 21, said Santa Claus Town Marshal C.A. Gratzer. Officials believed the only charge that applied to the prank was public trespassing.

"There was no motive as far as racial discrimination, whatsoever, meant in what they had done," Gratzer said ...
