PORTAGE TEAM FINISHES IN TOP 10

Four Northwest Indiana communities competed in the recent 1990 Hershey State Track and Field meet held in Anderson. Top finishers may qualify for the national meet this month in Hershey, Penn. The competition is sponsored by the Hershey Chocolate Company. At the state meet, Schererville's team finished fifth overall. Portage finished in sixth place; Hammond in 10th place and Lowell in 12th place.
