Hammond Morton graduate Mike Liming didn't birdie a single hole in two practice rounds at Beechwood Golf Course earlier this week.
''I was two-putting everything," he said. "I didn't make a birdie either day."
Friday, Liming shot a 3-over-par 75 for regional medalist honors on the same course. He qualified for his first appearance in the IHSAA state finals and wiped out bitter memories of a fatal collapse on this same course last June.
