Porter County police ordered five cars towed and had owners of 22 other vehicles move the cars or trucks that were blocking snow plows on Salt Creek Parkway and Governor and Juniper roads during the snowstorm.
Because of heavy snow Thursday night, police were enforcing a 1989 county ordinance restricting parking on streets within the subdivision, said Lt. Jim Stewart, county police spokesman.
Stewart said the vehicle owners were forced to pay towing costs but no fines. This was the second time this ...
