Factions battle in Reform Party

The Reform Party that Ross Perot organized three years ago is experiencing growing pains in Illinois, with two factions battling for control of the fledgling state party going into its first primary.

Both factions have slated candidates for statewide offices, giving voters the choice of requesting a Reform Party ballot on March 17. Though the two slates are part of the same organized party in Illinois, they are affiliated with different national organizations.
