Homer Township safety event to tackle assortment of issues

Matters of interest to residents, from cautious driving habits to hazardous materials to consumer fraud, will be addressed during Homer Township Safety Education Weekend. With the theme, "Help Us to Help You," the event is culling the time and talents of elected officials, agencies, businesspeople and civic activists over two days at Oak Prairie Junior High School, at 15161 S. Gougar Road in Homer Glen. Activities and exhibits will be set up from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
