Pageant officials waiting to hear from San Antonio

Miss USA Pageant officials hope to hear a hearty Texas howdy from the city council of San Antonio -- the city that pageant officials have chosen to host the 2003 Miss USA pageant. The pageant organization has given the nod to San Antonio to be host city for the March 24 pageant, said Mary Hilliard McMillan, spokeswoman for the pageant organization.

But the San Antonio City Council has to approve the expense involved in putting on such an extravaganza. The council is expected to consider the matter during its meeting Thursday ...
