The adjectives still apply to Perry Miller

Over the past five years, I've described Perry Miller as a scumbag, a steaming brown pile, evil and a three-time loser. They all still apply.

Miller has been in the news far too much lately, this time because the torturer and murderer of Christel Helmchen finally won a round in court.

Instead of being strapped to a gurney and having a needle full of poison jammed into his arm, he cut a deal -- in exchange for confessing to the crime -- and will spend the next 138 years in prison.
