"Taoism and the Art of China," the new exhibit at The Art Institute of Chicago, is really big.
How big? Well, one piece, a hand scroll of the ordination of a Ming Dynasty Empress as a Taoist priest, measures 54.6 cm high and 2,743.2 cm long. That's more than one-fourth the length of a football field, according to exhibition coordinator Sean Eichman.
