FOSSIL FINDER | VOLUNTEER WORRIED ABOUT FUTURE OF WILDLIFE AREA

Gina Wysocki peered into her rear view mirror and laughed at her reflection.
"I am a fossil geek," she said in mock amazement.
She wore wire-rimmed glasses, hiking boots and her fossil hunting hat as she drove to the Mazonia/Braidwood Fish and Wildlife Area to hunt for fossils.
Quite a change from the girl who liked to party and hated to study in high school.
Wysocki is the heart and soul of the Mazon Creek Project.
She has led field trips to the site for six years, but has served as the field trip coordinator for almost three years.
