PERSHING STUDENTS HELP POLICE MEMORIAL

The Pershing School Tigers were roaring last week.
A special Spirit Day assembly was held last Friday to recognize the basketball teams and cheerleaders.
The students also learned the results of their community service project held during December.
The parents and relatives of Pershing elementary school students would have been proud to be in the audience that day.
I was there along with Joliet and Will County police officers.
The 480 Pershing students participated in the Copper for Cops fund-raising campaign to contribute to the Will County Police Memorial.
