NEW YORK-Only a couple of the rug companies showing at the New York textiles market have raised their prices, but with raw material price increases eating into their margins, other companies said they were definitely feeling squeezed.

Most suppliers said they had no choice; they could not pass price increases on to their customers. And retailers aren't the only ones that will not accept price increases, said suppliers. Consumers won't stand for them either.
