Surgeons treating patients with mouth cancer often have one goal in mind--get rid of all the cancer. However, loss of tongue tissue can profoundly affect a person's quality of life. So surgeons at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis are offering such patients new hope in the form of tongue reconstruction.
