The mangrove blenny, Omobranchus rotundiceps obliquus, is an invasive species found in sheltered fouling communities in Kane'ohe Bay, O'ahu. The fish arrange their territories in a diffuse fashion, where the territory is a small area around the refuge. The territory moves along with the fish as it switches refuges. Access to these refuges is controlled by position in the dominance hierarchy. Aggression and aggressive interactions influence the position of the fish in the dominance hierarchy.
