PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Chinese demand for oil is over five million barrels per day (b/d) against around 850,000 b/d in Taiwan. As a result, the local HO TUNG CHEMICAL CORP. is currently gearing-up to build a new oil refinery in central Taiwan.

According to Preston Chen, HO TOUNG CHEMICAL Chairman, his company is planning to build a plant with an installed production capacity of 500,000 tons per year of oil products. Output is to be aimed at markets in central and western China via the company's strategic partners that are based on the mainland.
