I read Ron Miller's article, "Publish or Perish," in the February 2003 issue. I think it's a pretty good overview of enewsletter publishing, but it gets a couple of details wrong, in my opinion.

First, Miller quotes the ubiquitous Jakob Nielsen (Nielsen Norman Group) as follows: "[Electronic] newsletters feel personal because they arrive in your inbox; you have an ongoing relationship with them." I've seen this quote in a dozen different articles about enewsletters, and while it may have been true two or three years ago, it no longer makes sense. People are so accustomed to ...
