Dahlgren, Va., Naval Research Center Fights to Save Remaining Contracts.

Mar. 15--The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, has lost part of its contract on one of its most famous programs--the Aegis Combat System.
Now lawmakers are working to protect what remains of the base's Aegis contract and to keep high-tech Aegis jobs in Dahlgren.
"Dahlgren is the backbone of integrated warfare systems for the Navy," U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Davis, whose 1st District includes the base, said this week.
