Two years ago Hiroshi Ishida decided to give up his highly paid post in the Industrial Bank of Japan to become a `social innovator'. This original job description has led him into an initiative to rebuild relations between young people in Japan and Korea. Japan occupied Korea from 1910 to 1945 and feelings between the two countries are still strained. Ishida's initiative is one of several grassroots projects for reconciliation during the last 50 years.
