Imagine holding a small music recital at one of the city's schools or libraries featuring cellist Yo-Yo Ma; or maybe a drama workshop led by Meryl Streep.

No, those creative world-class artists aren't coming to Chesapeake, but their poetic counterparts are.

The annual Chesapeake Poetry Festival takes place Thursday and Friday at its home and birthplace, the Russell Memorial Library. And as in previous years, it will bring in two top nationally known verse masters.
