The Strategic Airlifters: C-5 C-17 C-141.

I applaud you in the Strategic Airlift community (C-5 Galaxy, C-17 Globe Master Ill and C-141 Starlifter) for your endurance and performance over a long year with significant time away from home. It's hard to believe that a mere 18 months ago, a lot of you were twiddling your thumbs, begging to fly. What a difference a year makes. On the down side, mishaps have increased along with the flying hours. Class A, B and C rate-producing mishaps totaled 40 in FY02 versus 26 in FY01.
