LOS ANGELES _ In the Feb. 25 episode of Fox's espionage drama "24" _ in which the entire season takes place over the course of one 24-hour day _ Counter Terrorist Unit director George Mason (Xander Berkeley) finally admitted that his radiation sickness, the result of a massive exposure in the morning, was impeding his ability to do his job. He then handed over control of the Los Angeles operation to CTU operative Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard).
