Final Wave of Layoffs Set for Otis Elevator's Bloomington, Ind., Plant.

Feb. 25--In an effort to assist workers laid off from the Otis Elevator plant in Bloomington, the company is sponsoring a job fair Tuesday at the Bloomington

Convention Center with 30 regional employers invited.

The plant has been downsizing for the past several years. After March 14, when the last round of layoffs will eliminate 103 more jobs, the facility at

1331 S. Curry Pike will be down to about 360 employees. More than half of the total are engineers and administrators.
