Feb. 24--Denver Water is pleading with its 1.2 million customers to save every drop they can, yet it is telling businessman Ray Zinsmaster to send 4,000 gallons a day down the drain.
The state's largest utility also is nudging its customers onto a legal ledge by providing free 2-gallon buckets for people to catch water in their showers, even though customers have no right to that water after it splashes off their bodies.
