Denver is reopening five city golf courses, closed this winter because of the drought, on March 1.

Denver residents can start making reservations for tee times Monday, and nonresidents can do so Wednesday.

``We know that a lot of golf-aholics are really anxious to have the golf courses back open,'' said Tom Woodard, director of golf for Denver. ``If they would do their part to protect the golf courses, we would appreciate it.''
