Instead of contributing to quality of life and well-being, processed foods have earned a terrible health image -- bad enough to be actively avoided by more than half of our under-SO respondents as part of their stay healthy efforts. In spite of the unhealthy and unsafe beef headlines that have permeated the press over the last two decades, many more shoppers try to avoid foods they think of as processed than try to avoid beef.
