In a maneuver with no apparent legal rhyme or reason, Christian Michael Longo pleaded guilty Friday to killing his wife and youngest daughter, but pleaded not guilty in the deaths of his two other children - and he did so in exchange for no concession from prosecutors who reiterated their desire for a death penalty.

In a 30-minute hearing, Lincoln County Circuit Judge Robert Huckleberry explained to Longo that any of his guilty pleas could bring a death sentence just as though a jury had convicted him on the charges. ...
