The University of Nevada--Las Vegas is just a few miles from the Las Vegas Strip of hotels and casinos. Each semester, UNLV offers varied dance classes to enrolled students and file Las Vegas community, according to Louis Kavouras, the chair of the dance department. Admitted students get preferential enrollment, and some classes are closed to non-admitted students. Nonresidents pay out-of-state fees. Classes run the gamut from ballet to flamenco, from technique to history.
