Teamsters will fight labor cost cuts at NWA; Union says it will reject plans to lower benefits.(BUSINESS)

The Teamsters union, which represents about 11,000 Northwest Airlines flight attendants, charged Thursday that Northwest management's push for "labor cost restructuring" is a euphemism for wage and benefit cuts that the union will reject.

Mollie Reiley, Teamsters Local 2000 trustee, said several labor union leaders met with CEO Richard Anderson on Wednesday to hear his rationale for further cuts at the Eagan-based carrier.
