GOLDEN -- Jefferson County commissioners Tuesday split 2-1 in approving a broadcast tower for Mount Morrison, which sits at what the tower's critics call the gateway to the Rocky Mountains.
The tower, which is up to 135 feet tall including antennas, could be ready to accommodate digital television signals in as little as a year, said James Morgese, president and general manager of Rocky Mountain PBS.
