Feb. 2--AUSTIN, Texas--A toxic chemical contamination - the largest of its kind in a Texas residential area - is a football field away from this city's environmental holy font, Barton Springs Pool.
The revelation has caused the city to padlock the spring-fed, three-acre pool, call in state health and environmental agencies and launch its own investigation.
