British researchers report they have found birth weight can be a strong predictor in how a person's health will be later in life, including an individual's risk for developing breast cancer before age 50.
The researchers, led by Valerie McCormack of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, looked at birth data on 5,358 "singleton" females -- meaning they did not have twin sisters -- who were born in Sweden between 1915 and 1929. They then compared the data to census data collected on ...
