Today could be the first of a four-day weekend for many people in Hampton Roads if snow blankets the area as expected.
Forecasters said on Thursday that the storm's course would send its worst inland. But even a little snow is a lot here, making travel difficult.
Snowfall amounts are expected to vary widely, the National Weather Service said. In general, lesser amounts are expected closer to the Atlantic.
