Sinochem has postponed its plan of establishing an integrated petrochemical complex including an ethylene-cracking unit. According to well-informed sources, Sinochem once considered establishing such a complex in early 2002, but the plan has to be pigeonholed at least for a few years due to the difficulty in getting foreign joint venture partners.
