Back when schoolboys learned Greek, their teachers often assigned them a book called ``Anabasis'' by an ancient Athenian named Xenophon. Not only did Xenophon write in a direct, simple style comprehensible to schoolboys, he also told an exciting story that held their interest. "Anabasis" is the Greek word for "march up-country."
