A new biotech corn seed will be available to farmers this year:
Herculex I Insect Protection, developed by Dow AgroSciences and Pioneer Hi-Bred International. The seed repels more corn pests than other varieties...first- and second-generation European corn borer, all generations of the southwestern corn borer plus the black cutworm, fall armyworm and corn earworm. The seed is OKAEd for food and feed use.
