I'm wary of superlatives, so I won't tell you that "Druids" is the worst movie I've ever rented.

But it is a prototypically bad movie - a paragon of virtuelessness. Compared to "Druids," the instructional video "How to Survive a Street Knife Fight" - featuring two men, several knives, and a side of beef - is pure Spielberg. It shouldn't be possible to make a movie this ludicrous that isn't funny; somehow, they did.

Future generations may use "Druids" as a template for churning out dreck. Today we're going to milk it for important lessons about ...
