In a background of the massive recovery and supply shortage of downstream pure terephthalic acid, the price of acetic acid in the international market has increased a little in the second half of this year. The domestic market has however failed to respond and on the contrary due to the low price of vinyl acetate and the soft demand in downstream products the price of acetic acid has made a small drop. The price trend of acetic acid will still be affected by the following unfavorable factors in future:
