The National Petrochemical Company (NPC) has awarded the $260m contract for the Kermanshah ammonia/urea project to a consortium of Kawasaki Heavy Industries/Tomen/Namvaran. The contract calls for the provision of licences, basic and detailed engineering, supply of equipment and technical assistance for the projects which will be built near the city of Kermanshah, western Iran.

The complex will process 65000N[m.sup.3] per hour of natural gas to produce 400,000 t/a of ammo...
