As Bruce Feiler nears the end of his fascinating new book about Abraham, the one religious figure embraced by Jews, Christians and Muslims, he writes about going into the city of Hebron to visit Abraham's tomb.
Hebron is in the news a lot as a scene of frequent clashes between Israelis and Palestinians. Just last weekend, Palestinian gunmen killed 12 people as Jewish settlers walked along the route to Abraham's tomb -- the very spot Feiler visited earlier this year.
