The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a consolidation of responsibilities for reviewing new pharmaceutical products. Drug and biological product reviews have been conducted in part by the FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) and also by its Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER).
