Reliance Telecommunications Limited, RelTel, has launched its wireless telephone services in Port Harcourt, Rivers State of Nigeria. RelTel, which began operations in Lagos four months ago, has 14,000 subscribers RelTel will expand its operations beyond the Lagos environs.

The Port Harcourt launch, the second in RelTel's promised phased roll-out plans, comes one month ahead of its plans to begin operations in Onitsha and subsequently in Abuja.
