MeltroniX Meltdown: MeltroniX, a San Diego-based contract manufacturer of microelectronics and electrical systems, has melted into history after failing to find new capital.
According to its last SEC filing, the company sold off most of its equipment and shut down earlier this month. Its telephone was disconnected last week.
Founded in 1984 and with 39 employees at the beginning of this year, MeltroniX had a shareholders' deficit of $17.1 million as of June 30 and liabilities of $9.2 million.
