Wisconsinites are more concerned about taxes and the looming state budget deficit than other issues, a poll released today shows.

And nearly one-third of state residents say the governor and legislators need to focus on controlling the cost of health care and prescription drugs.

"People are going back to pocketbook issues -- taxes, health care," said Jim Miller, president of the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute, which paid for the poll. "They're concerned about things that impact specifically on their daily ...
