The state Ethics Board has accused state Sen. Gary George, D-Milwaukee, of trying to intimidate its staff investigating a complaint against the senator.

The board told George it won't abandon its inquiry into whether his aides campaigned on state time.

"Neither the Ethics Board nor its staff will be bullied into abandoning its inquiry," the board said in a letter to the senator.
