HARRISBURG, Pa. -- In a joint letter to the Auditor General's Office, Secretary of the Budget Robert Bittenbender and Secretary of Administration Fritz Bittenbender today responded to a request for a special audit of the Commonwealth's telecommunications contract with Adelphia Business Solutions (ABS).
The letter refutes claims made by the Auditor General's Office to back the request. It also makes clear the Administration's position that the procurement of this contract followed the law and was fair to both competing vendors.
