The Advisory Committee On The Future Of The U.S. Space Program issued a summa of its report on Monday and recommended that NASA fund space science before the more high

projects such as space stations, aerospace planes and manned missions to the planets (Defense Daily, December 11). The Committee, chaired by Martin Marietta chief Norman Augustine, also called for development of a new heavy lift vehicle and a phasing out of the Space Shuttle.
