The Department of Justice recently announced it will award all 50 states, the District of Columbia and eligible territories $64 million to provide substance abuse treatment to offenders in state and local correctional facilities through its Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) for State Prisoners program.
States use RSAT funds to support individual or group drug treatment for offenders in residential facilities operated by state and local correctional agencies. Each offender's treatment program lasts between six and 12 ...
