Wakefield shines again; Continues starting roll in 4-2 win over Indians.(Sports)

Last night's 4-2 victory over the Indians will earn an eternal resting place in the too-little, too-late department of the 2002 season for the Red Sox.

For Tim Wakefield, however, it marked a far more hopeful beginning.

After an eight-inning, one-run effort that lifted his record to 9-3 with a 2.25 ERA as a starter and 11-5, 2.77 overall, Wakefield let it slip that he intends to finish his career with the Red Sox.

For a 36-year-old knuckleballer, that could stretch well into his 40s.
